This autumn, the exhibition halls of Domaine de Restinclières will transform into a true marine observatory. Between nostalgia for the 60s, architecture of tomorrow, and ecological challenges, discover three complementary perspectives to understand and protect our blue horizon: Stop 1: Coastline: of sand and water – a creation by the Hérault Department Council and EID Méditerranée Travel back in time to understand the natural functioning of our beaches and the development of our coast since the 60s. A geographical dive to better grasp the risks our territory faces today. Stop 2: Living the Coast, Tomorrow! – an ideas competition conducted in partnership with the City of Frontignan, the Hérault Council for Architecture, Urbanism, and Environment (CAUE), as part of the Hérault Littoral departmental strategy. Gain a new perspective with this model. From small stilt houses to elevated access walkways, explore innovative structures that aim to reconcile lifestyle and respect for marine environments. Stop 3: Oceans and Plasticized Seas – a creation by the Expédition MED foundation Witness the magnitude of the major challenge of our century. This exhibition decodes the journey of plastic, from its production to its abandonment, and its irreversible impact on the biodiversity of our seabeds. A playful and educational journey to realize that while plastic is not fantastic, our coastline certainly deserves all our attention!
