EXHIBITION "FIRST TIMES / FIRST PHOTOS"

From July 1 to November 1, 2026, the Pavillon Populaire celebrates the pioneering spirit of photography with the exhibition First Times / First Photos. First snapshots from great photographers, unusual inventions, and bold experiments make up this playful yet scholarly journey, conceived by Luce Lebart for her first exhibition at the helm of the venue. From Martin Parr to Margaret Cameron, from Bernard Plossu to Boris Mikhaïlov, the exhibition reveals the beginnings – sometimes awkward, often brilliant – of major figures in photography. Between a cabinet of curiosities and a jubilant visual journey, the public also discovers astonishing objects like the photo seat or the photo cyclist. A delightful and curious dive into 200 years of photographic innovations. Summer hours: Open from 11 AM to 7 PM from mid-June to mid-September. Closed on Mondays.
